However, despite positive clinical impact, approximately 87 percent of bloodstream infections are associated with the presence of some type of intravascular device.

The Curos® product line offers simple, innovative, disposable infection prevention products which passively disinfect commonly used swabbable luer-activated valves and male-luer connections on IV tubing and syringes. Curos Port Protectors and Curos Tips disinfect access devices in 3 minutes – killing the organism associated with catheter-related bloodstream infection. Curos Port Protectors will act as a physical barrier to contamination for up to 7 days if not removed.
